Geography of Ceuta
Ceuta is a small autonomous city on the North African coast, facing the Strait of Gibraltar, on a peninsula dominated by Monte Hacho. The climate is Mediterranean, mild and humid in winter. Its small, largely urban territory keeps patches of scrub and pine on the slopes of the hill, with a wildfire risk limited by the scant forest area. Fun fact: Monte Hacho is, according to many authors, one of the two Pillars of Hercules that flanked the strait in classical mythology.
